Privacy and cookies
Data controller

What data we process
Browsing data: the server hosting this site automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. It is used only to run the site and keep it secure, and is deleted periodically.
Data you send us: if you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we process the details you give us (name, contact details, dates of stay) to answer your request.
Booking data: online bookings go through the Octorate booking form, our reservation system. Name, contact details, dates, number of guests and payment details are processed by Octorate on our behalf, as data processor. We do not store card details.
Why we process it
To manage your booking and stay (performance of a contract, Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
To meet legal obligations: reporting guest details to the police (Art. 109 TULPS), the City of Verona tourist tax, tax and accounting rules (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
To answer your enquiries (pre-contractual steps, Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and to keep the site secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
We do not use your data for profiling or advertising, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking data for as long as the stay requires and then for the periods set by law (10 years for tax records). Enquiry messages are deleted when no longer needed.
Who we share it with
Data may be processed by suppliers who help us run the service (Octorate for bookings, the site's hosting provider, our accountant) and disclosed to authorities when the law requires it. If you booked through a platform (Booking.com, Airbnb or others), that platform's privacy policy also applies.
Cookies
This site uses no profiling cookies and no analytics or advertising tools. Fonts are served from our own server, so browsing sends no data to Google Fonts.
The Octorate booking form may use technical cookies needed to complete a booking (for example to remember your dates). These do not require consent. The map button takes you to Google Maps, where Google's privacy policy applies.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to info@serviceidea.it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
